Hello, Iā€™m Nadine, a Nature Connector. I use my passion for nature, along with my desire to help people connect to nature, learn the benefits to be gained for themselves and then how to help nature so it gains benefits too.

This can take many roles and so on the fourth Friday of each month I will share ideas with you so you can help nature and in turn help yourself.
As this is our first one, I am giving you a shopping list of things to gather ready for February when I will be videoing what you can do to encourage birds into your garden or help those already there.

All the following are things you probably have in your house already and often they get thrown away and end up in landfill sites. So, by the 23rd February you will need to have:
Saved the fluff from your vacuum, especially if you have cats or dogs. Horses when they shed their coats is good too.
Two plastic hangers, the sort that have the grove to put the loops from shirts in. We all have them somewhere in the house, not in use but not thrown out either.
Five net bags from onions. These nets should be cut as close to the top as possible, where the label is attached.
Soft bendy wire, aluminium or garden wire is perfect, although you can used string instead.
Some tough string, about 2m, any colour.
Four bird fat balls, any type is fine, as long as it is not in nets.
Wire cutters and scissors.
Be prepared to create a superstore for the birds in your garden. Join me on the 23rd of February and we will get creative!

Thanks for getting ready for this. If you have any questions, please email me.

Meanwhile, if you would like to join our free 'Friends of the Ash Tree' group and receive a monthly newsletter with lots of hints and tips on how you can connect with and help nature, please email me.

Until next time,
Tread softly upon this Earth.
